Earlier in February I posted about upgrading my bedroom and featured a few photos to try an spark some inspiration for my gallery wall. My gallery wall is still under construction, but I stumbled upon this article on Refinery 29 featuring some photos of Lauren Conrad's home in L.A. which inspired me to create an accent wall in my bedroom. In an effort to transform a virtually blank wall and give it some character, Lauren tore out the pages of a book and covered the wall with them.
"I don't like too much blank space around me and one day decided (after one too many cups of coffee) to tear all the pages out of a book and paste them up there. I like it because when we open the windows the pages flutter and it gives the room movement."
-Lauren Conrad
I absolutely love this project because it's simple and literally won't cost you a dime if you use a book you already own. It's a great way to update your space and add some personal touches to a room in your home.
This picture is from a photo shoot I did over the weekend with Paige! I love that my comforter is the focal point of my room and I try to keep the decor simple so everything compliments each other and it's not overbearing. I spend a lot of my time reading (not pictured: book shelf filled with all of my favorite literature) so the accent wall adds to the decor as well as reflects me as an individual.
Be sure to check out the rest of the pictures from my photo shoot featured on Paige's blog!
