Galentine's Day celebration

17 February 2014

...

So, in all honesty I had no idea what Galentine's Day was before my friend Paige showed me this article. Since I have mostly single friends, I thought it would be super fun to host a Galentine's Day party at my apartment. The party was so much fun. I made fajitas, our friend Sam brought guacamole and homemade chocolate chip cookies, and Paige brought chocolate covered strawberries. And of course there was wine. It could not have been more perfect! We had a nice night snacking on Valentine's Day inspired treats and enjoying each other’s company.

On Saturday, I went on a post-Valentine's Day date with Coffee Shop Guy. We went hiking on a trail in San Marcos and then went to a local gem, Rhea's Ice Cream, which has the best ice cream I've ever had. Rhea made strawberry and nutella ice cream for Valentine's Day and I couldn't resist getting a scoop in a homemade waffle cone. My date ordered a goat cheese and raspberry milkshake which, I can definitely say is the most unique and delicious milkshake I have ever tried.
